EU JCA Tracker

Every Joint Clinical Assessment report published under the EU HTA Regulation, and how long each one took, stage by stage: from the developer’s first scope submission, through the PICO, the dossier, the draft report and patient and clinician input, to endorsement and publication. Each date comes from the report’s own procedural-steps table or the European Commission’s page for it.

How long each JCA took, stage by stage

One bar per report, from the developer’s scope submission (filed alongside the EMA marketing authorisation application) to publication. Hover or tap a segment for its dates. Dossier preparation took — days, close to the 100 days the rules allow.

Process details

Scope size, dossier rounds, assessors’ requests for information, the JCA subgroup meetings that discussed stakeholder input, and who gave that input. — No report so far dates a PICO explanation meeting with the developer.

How to read the stages

Scoping to dossier

PICO scoping runs from the developer’s scope submission to the final assessment scope sent to the developer; the consolidated draft goes to patients and clinical experts first. Dossier preparation ends at dossier version 0.1, and validation ends when the Commission confirms the dossier is complete.

Drafting to input

Drafting ends when the assessors send the first draft to the JCA subgroup. Subgroup review ends when the revised draft goes to patients, clinical experts and the developer, all at once. The next stage ends when the subgroup finalises the report.

Endorsement to publication

The HTACG, the member states’ coordination group, endorses the report. The Commission then runs a procedural review and publishes the report, its summary, the developer’s dossier and the developer’s factual-accuracy comments.
